Kids Club Policies and Procedures
Parents must sign in when dropping off a child, and every parent must have a photo in the computer for identification. To keep a safe environment for everyone, the Issaquah Fitness requires that parents must remain at the club while their children are in the Kids Club. Please indicate on our check-in sheet where in the club you will be so we may locate you if necessary. If a child cries for more than 15 minutes, the parent will be asked to come calm the child. For the enjoyment of the children, please observe our 2-hour maximum per day limit. Children over the age of 3 months are welcome.
In the event of an emergency necessitating an evacuation, the Kids Club staff will escort children to the south end of the parking lot near the dumpsters. You may pick up your child once our staff have confirmed that all children are accounted for.
Kids Club staff have the authority to determine if a child is healthy enough to stay in Kids Club. Staff will look for any of the following symptoms: fever, vomiting, nausea, diarrhea, eye discharge, coughing, green/yellow nasal discharge. Children with contagious ailments such as strep throat, pinkeye, pneumonia, or chicken pox must stay home until no longer contagious. If your child has a visible illness but is no longer contagious such as pink eye, please bring a doctor’s note stating they are no longer contagious.
Snack and Personal Items Policies
Please bring your snacks and drinks in labeled containers if you would like them back. Do not bring snacks containing nuts as we have some children with allergies. Lollipops, gum, and outside toys (including electronic devices) are not allowed in Kids Club. Please use the locker room to secure all diaper bags, jackets, headbands etc. Space is limited in the room. Any items brought into Kids Club must be labeled. Issaquah Fitness will not be responsible for items left behind at the end of the day.
Toileting and Diaper Procedures
The Kids Club has a small child-sized toilet that is available for use. Please let the attendants know if your child might need reminders to use the toilet. If an accident occurs, you will be asked to return to Kids Club and assist your child in changing his/her clothes. Kids Club attendants may NOT change diapers. Please bring your child to Kids Club in a fresh diaper. If your child needs a diaper change, a staff member will come ask you to change your child.
Inflatable FunZone and Soccer Field Policies
Kids Club staff can take your children to the bounce houses or soccer field at their discretion. There is not a set time or schedule for these visits and it is not a guaranteed activity. If the bounce houses are extremely busy, if there are several babies in Kids Club, or there are other extenuating circumstances, children might not be taken to bounce houses during their visit. Kids Club staff will make every effort to take children to the bounce houses, but please understand it is not always possible.
Parents Inside Kids Club Policy
We occasionally have children who are new and adjusting to a new environment. Parents are welcome to escort their little ones through the doorway and assist in placing the child’s belongings into a cubby, but we ask that parents do not go beyond the Kids Club gate.
